2x/3 + 5 = 11x/15 + 14

I tried doing thing but everytime I did it it went wrong

(2x)/(3) + 5 = (11x)/(15) + 14

Multiply both sides of the equation by the common denominator :


(2x * 15)/(3) + 5 * 15 = (11x * 15)/(15) + 14 * 15

After doing maximum cancellations,


= > 10x + 5 * 15 = 11x + 14 * 15


= > 10x + 75 = 11x + 210


= > 10x - 11x = 210 - 75


= > - x = 135


= > x = - 135

Hence, value of x is -135
