Find a positive angle less than 360 degrees or 2pi that is coterminal with 395 degrees

Coterminal angles are angles that, starting on the same place of the unit circle, end up in the exact same spot.

Because the circle has 360°, a coterminal angle can always be found by adding or substracting 360° from the given angle. These are th same as making a complete round on the circle, that is why it will end up in the same spot.

We want a coterminal angle of 395° less than 360°. Since 395° is greater than 360°, we can substract 360° to find a coterminal angle less than 360°.

Substracting once will already got where we want:


395\degree-360\degree=35\degree

Thus, a positive angle less than 360° that is coterminal with 395° is 35°.
