Given :


\begin{gathered} \cot \theta<0 \\ \sin \theta>0 \end{gathered}

From the first condition cot θ < 0 , mean θ will be in the second or the fourth quadrant

From the second condition sin θ > 0 , mean θ will be the first or in the second quadrant.

So, the common between the conditions is that :

θ will be in the second quadrant
