Stretch or compress each linear function. Let g(x) be a horizontal stretch of f(x)=3x-4by a factor of 2. Write the rule for g(x).

To stretch a function horizontally we need to multiply its independent variable by the factor. This means that we will use "2*x" in the place of "x".


\begin{gathered} g(x)=3\cdot(2\cdot x)-4 \\ g(x)=6\cdot x-4 \end{gathered}
