GIVEN:

The first expression is:

3(u+2)+2u=7(u-1)+9

Solving the equation,

\begin{gathered} 3u+6+2u=7u-7+9 \\ 5u+6=7u+2 \\ 2u=4 \\ u=2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the only solution of the first expression is u = 2

Now,the second expression is:

5(w+1)-7=3(w-1)+2w

Solving, the expression:

\begin{gathered} 5w+5-7=3w-3+2w \\ 5w-2=5w-3 \\ \end{gathered}

Clearly, the equation above will not be equal for any value of w

Hence, No solution.
