What is the valuse of k for the following equation?-18 - 6k = 6(1 + 3k)

-18 - 6k = 6(1 + 3k)

First open the parenthesis

-18 -6k = 6 + 18k

collect like term

-18 -6 = 18k + 6k

-24= 24k

divide both-side of the equation by 24

-24/24 = 24k/24

-1 = k

k= -1
