The slope of a linear function can be obtained as:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are points of the line.

For this problem we just have to pick 2 points from the table (they don't have to be consecutive). I'll pick:

• x1 = 0

,

• y1 = 4

,

• x2 = 2

,

• y2 = 14

And now we compute the slope:


m=(14-4)/(2-0)=(10)/(2)=5

The slope is 5 (third option)
