Suppose a drawer contains seven green socks, six white socks, and five red socks. We draw one sock from the drawer and it is equally likely that any one of the socks is drawn. Find the probability of:• The sock is white.• The sock is green or red.• The sock is blue.• The sock is NOT green• We reach into the drawer to pull out four socks. what is the probability we get at least two socks of the same color?

Total number of socks = 18

• The sock is white = number of white socks / total number of socks = 6/18 = 1/3

• The sock is green or red = 7/18 + 5/18 = 12/18 = 2/3

• The sock is blue = 0 because there are no blue socks

• The sock is NOT green = 11/18

• We reach into the drawer to pull out four socks. what is the probability we get at least two socks of the same color?

= (7/18)(6/17) + (6/18)(5/17( + (5/18)(4/17)

= 7/51 + 5/51 + 10/153

= 46/153
