How to graph the line?

To graph a linear equation we need to find two points that lie on the line, then we can plot the two poitns and then draw a line that passes through both points.

Here we already have the point (-3, 5), let's find other.

Remember that a line with slope m and a point (h, k) can be written as:

y = m*(x - h) + k

Here we can write our line as:

y = (-2/5)*(x + 3) + 5

if x = 2 we get:

y = (-2/5)*(2 + 3) + 5

y = -2 + 5 = 3

So we also have the point (2, 3)

Now plot the two points and connect them with a line, you will get a graph like the one below.
