Now, we make each side, the hypotenuse of a right triangle. This is shown below, along with the side lengths of the triangles:

We know, Pythagorean Theoream tells us


\text{Leg}^2+\text{AnotherLeg}^2=\text{Hypotenuse}^2

All the four triangles are congruent, so let's find the hypotenuse of one of those triangles and then we can multiply it by "4".

Let's find "p":


\begin{gathered} p^2=10^2+24^2 \\ p^2=100+576 \\ p^2=676 \\ p=\sqrt[]{676} \\ p=26 \end{gathered}

So, the perimeter of the diamond window is:


4*26=104

Thus, 104 inches of tape is required.
