The cost of a taxi fare (C) varies directly as the distance (D) traveled. When the distance is41 km, the cost is $92.87. Find the cost when the distance is 155 km.

\begin{gathered} \text{since they're directly proportional to each other} \\ 41\operatorname{km}=92.87 \\ 155\operatorname{km}\text{ = x} \\ \text{cross multiply and make x the subject of formula} \\ 155*92.87=41* x \\ 14394.85=41x \\ x=351.09 \end{gathered}

the cost of the taxi fare at a distance of 155km is $351.09
