Multiply the amount of lollipops and the weight of each lollipop to find the total weight:

7\cdot(1)/(3)=(7)/(3)

Since 7 is greater than 3, rewrite 7 as 6+1 to write the improper fraction as a mixed fraction:

\begin{gathered} (7)/(3)=(6+1)/(3) \\ =(6)/(3)+(1)/(3) \\ =2+(1)/(3) \\ =2(1)/(3) \end{gathered}

Therefore, the costumer receives 2 1/3 ounces.
