Arithmetic Sequence. 32 km

1) Gathering the data fromthe question

1st week = 5km

2nd week: 8km

3rd week: 8km

4th week: 11km

1) Since in this sequence, there's an increase by 3 units, and 3 is the common ratio, being added constantly then this is an Arithmetic Sequence

2)

We can calculate it by using an explicit formula

a_n= a_1 +(n-1)r

a _10 = 5 +(9)3

a_10= 5+27

a_10= 32

So in the 10th week, the patient waked 32 km
