If the circumference of a circle is given:

  • Let the radius be r.
  • Say, that the circumference is given as C.
  • By using the formula,

  • 2\pi \: r = C \\ = > r = (C)/(2\pi)
  • So, to find radius of a circle when circumference is given, we have to divide the circumference with 2π. Then, we will get the radius of the circle.
  • Note : You have to consider π as 22/7 or 3.14. Or the value will be given in the question.

If the diameter of a circle is given:

  • Let the radius be r.
  • Let the diameter be D.
  • By using the formula,
  • 2r = D

  • = > r = (D)/(2)
  • Hence, if the diameter of a circle is given, we have to just divide the diameter with 2. Then we will get the radius of the circle.

Hope you could get an idea from here.
