Solution:

Given;

$\begin{gathered} 3x+5y=15 \\ \end{gathered}$

Make y the subject of the equation;

$\begin{gathered} 5y=-3x+15 \\ \\ y=-(3)/(5)x+(15)/(5) \\ \\ y=-(3)/(5)x+3 \end{gathered}$

The y-intercept of the function is;
