thevfigure below is a net for a triangular pyramid. if all triangles are equilateral what is the surface area of the pyramid

we have:

h each equilateral triangle = 7.79 ft

b each equilateral triangle = 9 ft

then area each equilateral trianle is:


A=(1)/(2)bh=(1)/(2)(9)(7.79)=(1)/(2)(70.11)=35.055

and the pyramid have 4 equilateral triangles, therofore the surface area of the pyramid is:


A=4(35.055)=140.22

answer: 140.22 ft2
