y = (x + 2)^2 + 6

Vertex

Parabola equation: y = a(x - h)² + k ==> Vertex is (h, k)

In this case h = -2 and k = 6 ==> Vertex(-2, 6)

Vertex(-2, 6)

y-intercept

y-intercept is the value of y when x = 0,

in this case, when x = 0, y = 10, therefore

y-intercept: y = 10

Graph

Y = (x + 2)^2 + 6 1) Identify the vertex 2) Identify the y-intercept. 3) Graph the-example-1
