We first write the set:

{5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12}

And we recognize that the number multiple of 2 only could be a par number.

Then we count how many par numbers are. Clearly, there are 4 numbers.

To obtain the probability of choosing one of these numbers we need to divide it by the n number of the set, which is 8 in total.

P=(4)/(8)=(1)/(2)=0.5

Then we can conclude the probability of choosing a number that is a multiple of 2 in the set of all of the integers from 5 to 12, is 0.5.

So the right answer is 0.5
