We can see letters "a" and "b" looks similar but they are different in one thing:

All values at which g has a local maximum means they want to know the x-coordinates where there is a local maximum of the graph. In other hands, when they ask for all local maximum values of g they want to know the y-coordinates where there is a local maximum of the graph.

Once we know that, let's take a look over our problem and identify answer for "a" and "b":

As we can see above we have two local maximum and our answers are:

Letter A: -4,4

Letter B: 1
