If the price of a dozen eggs (12 eggs) is $3.24, in order to find the price of one egg, we can use a rule of three:

\begin{gathered} 12\text{ eggs}\to3.24 \\ 1\text{ egg}\to x \\ \\ (12)/(1)=(3.24)/(x) \\ 12x=3.24 \\ x=(3.24)/(12)=0.27 \end{gathered}

So the price of one egg is $0.27
