Problem #17

given the following right angle triangle

As shown, the hypotenuse of the triangle = x

The side opposite to the angle 33 = 12

we will find (x) using the sin 33 as follows:


\begin{gathered} \sin 33=(opposite)/(hypotenuse) \\ \sin 33=(12)/(x) \\ \\ x=(12)/(\sin 33)\approx22.03 \end{gathered}

So, the answer will be x = 22.03
