we have the following:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

replacing:

17. (1, 0) and (5, 5)

m=(5-0)/(5-1)=(5)/(4)

therefore,

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ y=(5)/(4)\cdot x-(5)/(4) \end{gathered}

19. (0, -1) and (3, -5)

m=(-5-(-1))/(3-0)=(-4)/(3)=-(4)/(3)

therefore,

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ y=-(4)/(3)\cdot x-1 \end{gathered}

21. (1, 9) and (6, 2)

m=(2-9)/(6-1)=(-7)/(5)=-(7)/(5)

therefore,

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ y=-(7)/(5)\cdot x+10.4 \end{gathered}
