Given:

The coordinate of the points are,

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(1,-5)_{} \\ (x_2,y_2)=(-3,7) \end{gathered}

The slope is,

\begin{gathered} m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ =(7-(-5))/(-3-1) \\ =(12)/(-4) \\ =-3 \end{gathered}

Hence, the slope is -3.
