x ------> the hotel charge in the first city before tax

y -----> the hotel charge in the second city before tax

we have that

y=x+1,500 ------> equation A

0.05x+0.04y=352.50 ------> equation B

solve the system of equations by graphing

Remember that the solution is the intersection point both graphs

so

using a graphing tool

the solution is the point (3,250, 4,750)

therefore
