If the measure of angle DAB =59 , angle CAB=3x+1 and DAC =3x-2, find the measure on angle CAB

Now, if we have a look at the figure. We can see that

Angle DAB = angle CAB + angle DAC

Put the values in the equation, we get

59 =(3x+1) + (3x - 2)

59 = 3x + 3x +1 - 2

59 = 6x -1

59 + 1 = 6x

60 = 6x

10 = x

or

x = 10

Now, put the value of x in CAB (3x+1).

=> 3(10) + 1

=> 30 + 1

=> 31

Hence, angle CAB is 31.
