At 2:00 Jeff and Jerome began swimming laps at the pool. They started at opposite ends of the swimming pool. After a minute and a half, they passed each other in the center of the pool. Jeff and Jerome didn’t lose lose any time in turning and maintained the same speed. What time was it when Jeff and Jerome passed each other again in the pool?

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to get the specific time at which they passed each other again in the pool

From the question, they both maintained same turning time and did not lose speed

What this means is that the time it takes for both to pass each other will be constant at a minute and a half

Thus, the time taken to move from the edge of the pool to the point at which they meet will be 1 minute and 30 seconds

Thus, a minute and half will pass to get to the edge of the pool, then another a minute nd half to meet again

This makes a total of 3 "a minute and a half"
