Substitute 3 for x in the Marry Ann earning.

Carlos earning after 3 hours is $26.

Thus, Marry Ann earn more money than Carlos after 3 hours.

B)

The expression for the equation of the line passing through (0, 2) and (3, 26) is,

`\begin{gathered} y-2=(26-2)/(3-0)(x-0) \\ y-2=(24)/(3)x \\ y=8x+2 \end{gathered}`

Equate both the equations.
