The slope formula is given by

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

where

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)\text{ } \\ (x_2,y_2)\text{ } \end{gathered}

are two points in the line. From the picture, we can take these points as

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(0,-6) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(7,0)\text{ } \end{gathered}

By substituying these values into the slope formula, we obtain

\begin{gathered} m=(0-(-6))/(7-0) \\ \end{gathered}

hence, the slope is given by

m=(6)/(7)
