Let's start putting the higher numbers in the following positions where they are part of only one side:

Then, let's put 5 and 6 in the west and east positions.

To complete the two sides on the left, we will use 2 and 1.

To complete the top and south sides, we will use 3 and 7.

Finishing the other positions, we have:
