Equivalent fraction: fractions with different numerators and denominators but equal to the same value.

As the given denominator is 16, we have to know that:

4\cdot4=16

Then, the factor that is multiplying the fraction is 4, and as the new fraction has to be equivalent, then...

(9)/(4)\cdot(4)/(4)=(36)/(16)

Answer: 36
