As given by the question

There are given that the sequence:

-4,\text{ -14, -24, -34, }\ldots

Now,

From the given sequence,

\begin{gathered} a_1=-4 \\ d=-14-(-4) \\ =-14+4 \\ =-10 \end{gathered}

Then,

From the formula:

a_n=a_1+(n-1)d

Then,

\begin{gathered} a_n=a_1+(n-1)d \\ a_n=-4_{}+(n-1)(-10) \\ a_n=-4_{}+(-10n+10) \\ a_n=-4_{}-10n+10 \\ a_n=-10n+6 \end{gathered}

Hence, the nth term for the arithmetic sequence is shown below:

a_n=-10n+6
