What is the value of the discriminant of f?

we know that

the formula to calculate the discriminant is equal to


D=b^2-4ac

In this problem we have

a=4

b=2

c=6

substitute the given values


\begin{gathered} D=(2^2)-4(4)(6) \\ D=4-96 \\ D=-92 \end{gathered}

the value of D is -92

that means
