∵ The form of the linear equation is y = m x + b, where

→ m is the slope of the line

→ b is the y-intercept

∵ The equation is

y=-4-(3)/(8)x

→ Compare it by the form of the equation above to find the values of m and b

∴ b = -4

m = -3/8

∵ m is the slope

The slope of the line is -3/8
