Solution:

Given;

midpoint(-9,8),endpoint(-1,1)

Using the midpoint formula;

midpoint((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2))

Thus;

\begin{gathered} (x_1+x_2)/(2)=-9;x_2=-1 \\ \\ x_1-1=2(-9) \\ \\ x_1=-18+1 \\ \\ x_1=-17 \end{gathered}

Similarly;

\begin{gathered} (y_1+y_2)/(2)=8;y_2=1 \\ \\ y_1+1=2(8) \\ \\ y_1=16-1 \\ \\ y_1=15 \end{gathered}

Thus, the other endpoint is;

(-17,15)
