Thus , the answer is approximately 33 % . Determine the decrease in temperature by subtracting 50 from 75. The temperature decrease is equal to 25 degrees . To solve for the percent decrease , divide the decrease in temperature by the initial temperature and multiply by 100 % . This is shown below , ( 25/75 ) x 100 % = 33.33 %
