Let, the weight of each small box is x pound and the weight of each large box is y pound.

Combined weight of a large box and a small box is 70 pounds. Therefore

x+y=70 (i)

The truck is transporting 70 large boxes and 65 small boxes. If the truck Is carrying a total of 4750 pounds in boxes.

Therefore,

65x+70y=4750 (ii)

From the above graph, it is seen that the two lines intersect each other at (30,40)

Therefore, the solution is

x=30

y=40

So, the weight of each small box is 30 pounds and that of each large box is 40 pounds
