To determine which is the value of the angle, given its sine, we isolate it in the initial equality by using the inverse function, as follows:


\begin{gathered} sin(\theta)=-0.8711\Rightarrow\sin^(-1)sin(\theta)=\sin^(-1)-0.8711 \\ \theta=\sin^(-1)(-0.8711) \end{gathered}

by solving it we are able to find two different values, both in the given interval, as follows:


\theta=240.59,299.41
