Graphing the equation y = -x - 6

We have to identify at least two points that pass along the equation given, the easiest way is to substitute at conditions when x = 0 and y = 0.

y = -x - 6, at x = 0 y = -x - 6, at y = 0

y = -(0) - 6 (0) = -x - 6

y = -6 x = -6

Let's name the two points A and B. A = (0,-6) and B = (-6,0)

Let's now graph the line,
