Given:

Which is traveling faster:

Traveling 150 yards in 40 seconds or 406 feet in 35 seconds

First, we will make the units similar, so we will convert from yards to feet

1 yard = 3 feet

So, 150 yards = 150*3 = 450 feet

Now, we will find the unit rate when traveling 150 yards (450 feet) in 40 seconds

rate=\frac{450\text{ }feet}{40\text{ }seconds}=11.25\text{ feet/second}

And we will find the unit rate when traveling 406 feet in 35 seconds

rate=\frac{406\text{ feet}}{35\text{ seconds}}=11.6\text{ feet/second}

Compare the two rates

So, 11.6 > 11.25

So, the answer will be:

The faster traveling is 406 feet in 35 seconds
