The expression is

4(a^2+26)-2b

If a=2 and b=-2

Replace the values in the expresion:

\begin{gathered} 4(a^2+26)-2b \\ 4a^2+104-2b \\ 4(2)^2+104-2(-2) \\ 16+104+4 \\ 124 \end{gathered}

So

\begin{gathered} 4(a^2+26)-2b=124 \\ \text{When} \\ a=2 \\ b=-2 \end{gathered}
