Given:

The function is,


f(x)=x^3-2x

Replace x by -x in the given function,


\begin{gathered} f(x)=x^3-2x \\ f(-x)=(-x)^3-2(-x) \\ =-x^3+2x \\ =-(x^3-2x) \\ =-f(x) \end{gathered}

It is observed that, when the x is replace by -x the function end up with exactly opposite of the given function.

Thus, the given function is odd.
