1. Solving for y:

\begin{gathered} y+36=4y\rightarrow36=4y-y\rightarrow36=3y\rightarrow(36)/(3)=y \\ \rightarrow y=12 \end{gathered}

Thereby y = 12

2.

6y+12=2\mleft(3y-8\mright)\rightarrow3y+6=3y-8\rightarrow6=-8?

Therefore, there's no solution

3.

\begin{gathered} 7-4.9y=15+7.6y\rightarrow7-15=7.6y+4.9y \\ \rightarrow-8=12.5y\rightarrow-(8)/(12.5)=y \\ \rightarrow y=-0.64 \end{gathered}

4.

(1)/(3)(12y-3)=4y-1\rightarrow4y-1=4y-1\rightarrow0=0

Therefore, there are infinte solutions
