Notice that the graph of


y=\cos (x+(\pi)/(2)),

is the graph of


y=\cos (x)

translated π/2 to the left. Therefore, the midline and the maximum and minimum values are the same.

The midline of the function is


y=0.

And


-1<\cos (x+(\pi)/(2))<1.

A point on the midline is:


(0,0).

A maximum near the point above is:


(-(\pi)/(2),1)\text{.}
