We are asked to determine the area of a circle. To do that we will use the following formula:

A=\pi r^2

Where:

\begin{gathered} A=\text{ area} \\ r=\text{ radius} \end{gathered}

Now we substitute the value of the radius:

A=\pi(9yd)^2

Now we substitute the value of pi:

A=(3.14)(9yd)^2

Now we solve the operations:

A=254.34yd^2

Therefore, the area is 254.34 square yards.
