The Solution:

Given:

Year 2000 = 3250 newspaper

Year 2001 = 3640 newspaper

Year 2002 = 4100 newspaper

Required:

To find the percentage increase in newspapers from 2000 to 2001 and from 2001 to 2002.

Percentage increase from 2000 to 2001.

(3640-3250)/(3250)*100=(390)/(3250)*100=0.12*100=12\text{\%}

Percentage increase from 2001 to 2002.

(4100-3640)/(3640)*100=(460)/(3640)*100=0.12637*100=12.637\approx12.6\text{\%}

Thus, it is clear that 2001 to 2002 has a higher percentage increase.
