There are 200 customers and 40 chose grapefruit juice, in percentage this is

(40)/(200)*100\text{ = 20\%}

If there are 500 customers, we would expect 20% of them to prefer grapefruit juice also, they are

(20)/(100)*500=\text{ 100 in number}

Thus, we would expect 100 samples of grapefruit to be chosen by the customers.
