Leaf:
Leaves are the primary sites of photosynthesis, being responsible to manufacture food for plants for maintain their energy, being an integral part of the plants.
It is a organ that forms the lateral appendage on the stem of vascular plants.
Others functions of the leaves are transpiration, guttation, defense, and storage.
Root:
The root of plants is the part normally underground that anchorage the structure of the plant. It is responsible for the absorption and conducton of water and others dissolved minerals from the soil to the body of the plant.
Roots are an important organ that ensure nutrient uptake, being located in the base of the plants.
Vascular Tissue:
The vascular tissue of plants have the xylem and phloem, this system is mainly for the transport of nutrients from the parts of the plants, going from roots to leaves. The xylem is responsible for the transport of water and dissolved ions from roots (base) to leaves (top). The vascular system is located in all the length of the plant, to be able to distribute the resource through all the structures and organs in the organism. It is similar to the vascular system in animals.
