f(-2) = -2

Explanation:

Start on the graph at the center, (0,0), right where the x- and y-axis cross.

The numbers on the x-axis are the x's (look left or right) The problem says to find f(-2). This means let x = -2. So skip over to the left to where x = -2, then go down until you run into the curve. You have to look at the y-axis to find the numerical answer.

Here are some other ones on this graph, to see if you can see how this works. **These two -2's are totally different. The answer -2 is not because the problem had a -2 in it.**

f(-1) = -3

f(0) = -2

f(1) = 1

f(-3) = 1

f(-4) = 6

f(2) = 6
