Letter tiles similar to the example here are placed in a bag. There are a total of 8 tiles in the bag containing the following letters: G, I, R, V, I, A, I and NWhat is the probability of drawing all three "I"tiles from the bag, one at a time

The total number of tiles are 8 and there are 3 tiles containing letter I.

The probability for 3 "I" tiles one at a time (without replacement) is,

\begin{gathered} P(3I^(\prime)s)=(3)/(8)\cdot(2)/(7)\cdot(1)/(6) \\ =(6)/(56\cdot6) \\ =(1)/(56) \end{gathered}

So probability of drawing all three "I" tiles from the bag, one at a time is 1/56.
