Given the equation :

To solve for x, combine like terms:

$\begin{gathered} 5x-6.6x=4.8-10.56 \\ \\ -1.6x=-5.76 \end{gathered}$

Now, divide both sides by (-1.6)

$\begin{gathered} (-1.6x)/(-1.6)=(-5.76)/(-1.6) \\ \\ x=3.6 \end{gathered}$

So, the value of x = 3.6
